Xianyu really does have something going for it.

My Google account, which I’d used for seven years, was suddenly banned.

I appealed on my own for over six months, writing countless emails back and forth, but they all went nowhere. I either got a bot response or an outright rejection.

Eventually, with no other options, I paid 188 yuan on Xianyu to have someone write the appeal for me.

They simply told me to add one sentence:

“ This account is used for work. If it cannot be restored, I may lose my job as a result. ”

And it was unbanned just two days later.

Six months of appealing on my own got me nowhere; 188 yuan on Xianyu and one email solved it.

So a lot of the time, it’s not that your reasons aren’t good enough—you just don’t know how to hit Americans where it hurts.

Just tell them: “If you don’t unban me, I’ll lose my job.”

Americans see that and immediately soften up.

I have to admit, Americans really can be quite “kind” sometimes.

This works too? When I ran into it, the response was just one sentence: “No violation of the relevant rules.” Basically, they were all unblocked.
