Cross-border platform unlocking
Overall assessment:
The IPv4 registration database identifies it as US AS42960, but based on the first few hops and mainland latency, the network most likely actually terminates in Hong Kong. It is therefore an IP registered in the United States with network access in Hong Kong. Regarding return routes for the three carriers, China Mobile returns through CMI and performs well toward Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing; China Unicom enters the regular AS4837 backbone through AS10099 CUG. Although the route is labeled CUG, the actual latency is approximately 70–100 ms, so the optimization is average; China Telecom usually crosses networks into AS4134 after passing through the Unicom backbone, rather than using a direct CN2 route.
In short: Mobile is relatively good, Unicom is average, and Telecom is average to somewhat weak.
