Seems real—it's something Zhipu would do.

Zcode was found to be uploading the entire workspace and Git history to its servers for storage without the user’s consent.

Simply logging in with a Zhipu account triggers the process of packaging, encrypting, and uploading the data. The encryption key is stored only on Zhipu’s servers and is not kept locally, meaning that only the servers can decrypt the files. Zhipu’s privacy policy does not mention this, and ZCode’s built-in „Optimize Experience“ feature cannot be disabled to stop the uploads.

It’s been conclusively proven, and they’ve admitted it.

Zhipu had already issued an announcement yesterday.

I just found out that Zcode is Zhipu.

The value of this statement continues to increase

That’s simply code theft.

Hahaha, right?

It perfectly solved the problem of China not having A.

A little late to the news—Zhipu already publicly apologized yesterday.

That’s right.

Something like that, yeah, haha. They were caught red-handed, and they admitted it too.

Damn it, the data isn’t secure anymore.
