December 21: I bought some daily necessities on JD.com today, remembered I can use WX Pay, so I linked my card to WX Pay. I originally wanted to see if fees are charged on RMB payments over 200, but I didn’t get the chance—they’re waiving all fees up to 1000 for 60 days! Haha, end-of-year shopping just got even better, saving a bit more on fees.
December 25: In the past few days, three friends messaged me about having to top up gas fees to activate the card, so here’s some clarification: gas fees are necessary whenever you use the wallet, so you can’t avoid them. But we can just buy a little ETH for this. If you’re only using the card for activation, you can buy 1U worth of ETH from Binance (though tiny amounts can’t be withdrawn), then transfer to your Bitget Wallet on the Arbitrum chain.
